As Frederick, Colorado continues to grow, the St. Vrain Valley School District (SVVSD) is moving forward with plans to build a new high school on a 73-acre site located at 3160 Godding Hollow Parkway. Purchased for $6.1 million in December 2022, the property—known as the Bality-Hardy parcel—is ideally suited for educational development, with space to support athletic facilities, parking, and potential career and technical education (CTE) offerings.
To kick off the project, SVVSD selected FCI Constructors, Inc. for pre-construction services following a competitive process. FCI brings extensive experience in K–12 educational projects and has worked with a number of Colorado school districts on complex, large-scale builds. Their initial $180,000 contract covers cost estimating, site analysis, and early design coordination—critical groundwork for a successful project launch.
The project is part of SVVSD’s long-range planning to accommodate a student population expected to reach 70,000 to 75,000 in the coming decades. The new high school is being funded through capital reserves and developer contributions, with future bond reimbursements under consideration. With FCI’s guidance during the pre-construction phase, SVVSD is taking important steps toward meeting the needs of a growing community.
